Term 2 block 3
Term 2 is heating up for sure - going into Block 3 we had a number of assignments due including an FOMC forecast for Macro and a Camera IQ case study for Marketing, also on the back of a midterm exam….so we were busy but somehow we still managed to find time for some fun during Block 3.
For the ladies it started with a chilled out evening at our gracious host Laura’s house. Food, Wine, great company and homemade cookies - what more could we want….except an extension on the case study which we did get in the end - woo hoo!
Thursday night our VP’s of Alumni organized the first Alumni small group dinner which was a great success. Be on the lookout for future events and sign ups from Krissy and Stephanie D.
Thursday was a busy night - some had yummy Thai food in Ashby and then our VP of Social Dave Franks also organized axe throwing - Sunny who had been passed along to Randy during class was the star of the event and apparently left the event in one piece thankfully. Bala was also really into it all.
Friday morning a small group got up early for a morning walk around campus - what a beautiful way to start the day. Sarah Kivel is the organizer and invites everyone to join on Friday mornings leaving the hotel lobby at 6.30am.
Friday night everyone was still going strong and we had 2 events in Ashby - a debate led by Abhi and then the second in the Fireside Chat series led by Jordan. This block the debate centered on Healthcare and then the fireside chat was all about AI and our doomed future as mere humans.
Quite a bit later in the evening and Ashby was apparently a bit livelier at 2am….the video captures it well….and it still kept going for a while after that too….
Saturday was a short day ending after 2 classes at 3.15…..many made their way home early this block…..we will be back again for block 4 in no time…..I hear whispers of perhaps an end of term party for Block 4….it has gone by so fast. Don’t forget to let me know if there are highlights I missed so I can include here to live on forever….
